Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 September 2026

1. What you are agreeing to

These terms govern the use of Kaonty, a service available at kaonty.mg and published by Kaonty MG (see the legal notice). Creating an account constitutes acceptance. If something here does not suit you, write to us before you sign up rather than after.

2. What Kaonty does

Kaonty lets you keep a product catalogue with its variants and stock, record your clients, issue invoices as PDFs and send them by email, track your stock movements and produce annual reports.

Kaonty is neither an accountant nor a tax adviser. It lays out what you enter and calculates what you ask of it. The compliance of your invoices, your tax returns and your obligations towards the authorities remain yours.

3. Your account

  • An account belongs to one person or one business, and is not to be shared.
  • The information you provide when signing up must be accurate: it appears on the invoices you issue.
  • Two-factor authentication is mandatory. It is not an option we recommend to you: it is the condition of access, because a password alone does not protect a client file.
  • You are responsible for your credentials. If you suspect that someone else has access to them, change your password and write to us.
  • The account type — sole trader or company — is chosen when you sign up and cannot be changed afterwards, because it determines the form of your invoices. Write to us if it needs to change.
  • The prefix of your invoice numbers is fixed once you issue your first invoice: a numbering sequence that changes midway is no longer a numbering sequence.

4. Free trial

Every new account has three months of free trial, with no bank card and no commitment. At the end of it, you choose whether to subscribe. Nothing is ever charged automatically.

5. Subscription and payment

15,000 Ar per month, or 150,000 Ar per year — the yearly rate amounting to two months free.

VAT not applicable.

  • No automatic debit. You are the one who triggers each payment. We remind you by email before the due date, and in the application.
  • Online payment goes through a payment provider. We neither see nor store your payment details.
  • A subscription that has been paid for is not refundable on a pro rata basis if you cancel during the period. It remains yours until it expires.
  • Prices may change. Any change is announced at least 30 days in advance, and never applies to a period already paid for.

6. If you do not pay

If payment is not made by the due date, your account becomes read-only: you can no longer create or modify anything, but everything remains viewable and can be downloaded again — your invoices, your clients, your reports. We do not hold your data hostage to make you pay.

Payment restores write access immediately.

7. What you undertake not to do

  • Use Kaonty for an unlawful activity, or to issue false documents.
  • Attempt to access another user's data, or to circumvent the protections of the service.
  • Automate calls to the service to the point of disrupting it for others.
  • Resell or redistribute access to your account.

You remain responsible for the data you enter about your own clients: you must be entitled to hold it and to use it. Over that data, you decide, and we merely host it for you — see the privacy policy.

8. Availability

We do not promise flawless availability. Interruptions happen: maintenance, a hosting failure, a network outage. We give notice when it is planned, and we restore service as fast as we can when it is not.

9. Your data, and how to get it back

Your invoices and your reports can be downloaded as PDFs at any time from your account. For a complete handover — clients, products, history — write to us at contact@kaonty.mg: we will provide them in a usable format, free of charge.

10. Closing an account

At your request

You may ask for your account to be deleted at any time, without giving a reason. Remember to retrieve your data first: after the period stated in the privacy policy, it can no longer be recovered.

For inactivity

An account with no current subscription and no login for twelve months is deleted. We give notice by email 30 days before, then 7 days before. A single login resets the counter. A subscribed account is never deleted for inactivity.

At our initiative

We may close an account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, after giving you notice and time to retrieve your data — unless that delay would allow an unlawful activity to continue.

11. Limits of liability

Kaonty is provided as is. Our liability cannot be engaged beyond the sums you have paid us over the last twelve months, and covers neither loss of business, nor the consequences of a data-entry error, nor those of a tax return drawn up from data you entered yourself.

This limit plainly does not apply in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.

12. Changes to the service and to these terms

Kaonty evolves: features appear, others change. Any significant change to these terms is announced to you by email at least 30 days in advance. If it does not suit you, you may cancel before it takes effect.

13. Governing law

Malagasy law. In the event of a dispute, we will first seek an amicable solution — write to us. Failing that, the courts of Antananarivo have jurisdiction.
